1. How did you first get introduced to reiki and how did it effect your life
A long time ago I had a neck and shoulder injury and nothing seemed to help until a friend of mine recommended that I try Reiki. After about 20 minutes I started to feel a warm tingly sensation in my whole body. It was like a wave of relaxation and I left the session without any pain and very very curious about what had just happened.
2. When did you know you wanted to become a practitioner as well? What’s your why?
Directly after my first session, I needed to know more. I started reading books and signed up for my Reiki level one course.
3. Do you do reiki on yourself? If so, when and why?
All the time, mostly before bed when I’m doing a few yin poses or whenever my body is asking for it.
It calms and settles me down.
4. Do you have a business Centers around reiki and how does reiki naturally become an asset with your other offerings
I do offer reiki sessions and trainings. I’m also trained in other energy healing but generally use everything in combination. I also teach yoga and have been known to clear the studio before and after practise and even incorporate reiki into a yin practise.
5. What changes have you seen reiki so on yourself and or others ? For example, calming, healing etc
General calmness, my reactions to things have been much more relaxed. I feel as though my level of acceptance has been increased.
